Asynchronous Periodic Distributed Event-Triggered Voltage and Frequency Control of Microgrids

In this paper, we introduce a distributed secondary voltage and frequency control scheme for an islanded ac microgrid under event-triggered communication. An integral type mechanism is proposed by which each generator (DG) periodically checks its triggering condition determines whether to update inputs broadcast states neighboring DGs. contrast existing strategies on of microgrids, the able handle consensus problem in case asynchronous Under sampled-data based mechanism, DGs do not need be synchronized common clock individual DG periodically, relying own clock. Furthermore, method efficiently reduces communication rate. We provide sufficient conditions microgrid's critical bus asymptotically converge nominal voltage, respectively. Finally, effectiveness our verified testing different scenarios benchmark MATLAB/Simulink environment as well hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) platform, where physical system modeled Opal-RT cyber realized Raspberry Pis.
